How about this weather?!?! 70's & 80's... this is why we endure the hot summers. It looks like this weather is going to stay with us for a while and with warmer weather also comes better playing conditions. Our golf course has been extremely busy and shouldn't let up very much for the next couple of weeks , thanks to Spring Training being in town.

Our Ping Demo day was such a success that we have decided to invite Cleveland to come out on March 29th to have a demo day of their own. Come out and see what new clubs Cleveland has to offer and take advantage of some terrific savings on their equipment.

The Verde Grill is busier than ever as well. With Easter brunch, a St. Patrick's Day special, and our weekly Wednesday night specials, we should see a terrific month from the Food & Beverage team.

I guess the question on everyone's mind this week has nothing to do with golf. It has to do with a certain quarterback's aching ankle. Will the Patriots go 19-0? Will the Giants pull off the biggest David vs. Goliath triumph in recent memory? We will find out on Sunday.

We have a ton of people in town for not only the Super Bowl, but also the FBR open. There will be a lot of people looking for things to do, hopefully one of the things they will look to do is play golf. Let me tell you, there is no better place to play than at "The Best in the West," Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia. The greens are rolling at about an 11 on the stimp meter and with the recent rain we have had, the fairways and roughs are lush. There aren't many tee times left this week, but if you are looking for a steal, check out our $54 Super Bowl Sunday special. It is a definite touchdown!

For you romantics, we are having a special Valentines Dinner the night of the 14th. We will be serving a special three course dinner beginning at 5pm that evening. Reservations will go quick, so call the Verde Grill today to reserve your special evening.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind....Happy New Year! Looking back on 2007, we had a fantastic year and look forward to a great 2008! With the Fiesta Bowl, Super Bowl, and FBR Open coming up real soon the Phoenix area will be a buzz. The golf course and Verde Grill will be packed to the gills the week of the Super Bowl, so make sure to get your reservations in soon.

It looks like the weather is starting to cooperate (aren't we in the Valley of the Sun?) with temperatures reaching into the 70's later this week. The golf course is in phenomenal shape and since we have brought on our new Food and Beverage Director, Dolan Olson, the Verde Grill continues to get busier and busier. Make sure to stop in to the Verde Grill after your round and try our Verde Chicken Wrap, it is my favorite on the menu.

Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia's blog is back! We are coming up on the Holidays... though it's tough to get into the holiday spirit with weather in the 70's, but I think the golfer in me will survive. ;-)

The golf course is in fantastic shape after the best overseed we have ever had. Today the greens are running 10.5 on the stimp meter and they are smooth! With rates staying at $89 until December 20th, there is no better time to play "The Best in the West" than now. The Golf Channel Amateur tour knows all about that, as they will be competing here this Saturday (12/08).

The Wednesday night specials at the Verde Grill are becoming very popular. We look forward to hosting you for Half of an Herb Roasted Chicken, 1/2 rack of ribs and tri tip combo, and Country style bacon wrapped meatloaf. All of these specials are tasty and inexpensive, which means they are popular - so be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible.

Aerification on Monday

Thank you to everybody who made June & July the busiest summer months we've had since we openend in February '04! I guess the word really got out about the specials we are offering, great course conditions, as well as the $1 beers on the course (I'm guessing they had SOMETHING to do with it!).

With summer almost over, that means aerification. We will be aerifying our golf course with 1/4" tines with a light top dress on the afternoon of 8/13. This maintenance procedure is necessary to help the golf course through the heat of the summer. During this time period we will be running some great specials.

After aerification is complete the golf course will be in phenominal shape until we overseed in October. Make sure to visit us soon and take advantage of great summer specials before they are over.

The Coolest Golf In The West Valley

The temperature's starting to go up in the Valley of the Sun. Luckily, we have some terrific ideas to keep golfers cool while on the course. Like last year, we are offering complimentary bottled water in your golf car, delivering iced spray bottles on the course, and iced towels are available after the round. What's new this summer is the $1 Budweisers, Bud Lights, and waters we are selling on the golf course; finally, you won't have to wait for $9 beer night at your local night club!

We have teamed up with Coolwell to make air conditioned golf cars available. While you sit down, the temperature can drop up to 20 degrees while you use this product in your golf car. Let me tell you, that 20 degrees makes a huge difference in the summer. We have these air conditioned units set up in 20 of our golf cart, so make sure to reserve these Coolwell cars when booking your round of golf as they will go fast.

On June 23rd, Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia, Taylormade Golf, and Backspin the Golf Show will present the AZ's Finest Golf Challenge. The event will be a great time for all involved, and it will benefit the very worthy cause of finding a cure for Cystic Fybrosis. Shea Homes Arizona Senior Open

For the second year in a row Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia will be hosting the Shea Homes Arizona Senior Open. This prestigious golf event starts Tuesday, May 1st and Concludes Thursday, May 3rd. Last year John Chaffee was able to conquer a field of over 140 players, will he be able to repeat? If you get a chance, come out to the course and watch some great golf!

Spring Golf at its Finest.

Spring time has welcomed us here in the Valley of the Sun with perfect weather!

The golf course continues to be in fine shape. Many have commented that the greens are the best they have played in the valley this year. We have taken steps to make our bunkers softer and the reactions from our guests have been very pleasing.

With Spring Training in full swing we have seen some big time baseball players on our facility. We have seen the likes of Greg Maddox, David Wells, Kevin Millwood and Trevor Hoffman out here. I had the honor of playing with Greg & David and let me tell you, Greg Maddox is a good golfer. If my memory serves me correct, he fired a 74 (+2) from the tournament tees. Watch out for him in a few years on the celebrity circuit.

The Trilogy Golf Club website continues to grow and improve. Look for some exciting new tools and information over the next couple of months.

Welcome to the Gateway Tour visitors!

The Gateway tour is here this week and these guys can play. Last time they made a stop here Chris Kaman shot our course record, 63! I will be very interested to see if someone can shoot lower than 9 under par this week. If someone is going to shoot the course record, this may be the week to do it. The course is in great shape and the greens are running fast and they are soft!

The weather as of late has been more like Minnesota than Arizona but it looks like we are starting to warm up a little bit. If it does get a little chilly for folks we do have a heat station on the first tee with complimentary Hot Chocolate and fresh pastries to snack on.

With the nice weather comes a lot of play. We were sold out this weekend and it looks like that will be the trend for the next couple of months. I would suggest calling for a tee time well in advance as it will be tough to get a time you are interested in 3 days before the day of play.

Happy New Year!

What a game last night at the Tostitos Fiesta bowl between the Oklahoma Sooners and Boise State Broncos! Bill Coen was lucky enough to win 2 tickets to that memorable game! Everyone still has 3 days to register to win 2 tickets to the Tostitos BCS National Championship game.

Lately the weather in Phoenix has steadily been getting warmer, which means AWESOME course conditions. The greens were stimped at a 10 today, which is really quick and they are soft! Good course conditions means a lot of play. There are still some open spots if you play before 8:30am. We are running an earlybird special Monday - Thursday for $59.00 and Friday - Sunday and Holidays for $74.00 when you play before 8:30am. After your round, check out the Verde Grill's new menu. There are a lot of new entrees...Try the pulled pork sandwich, it is full of taste!

This is an exciting time for Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia. We are now the exclusive golf partner of fiestabowl.org. We will be holding golf challenges for the Insight Bowl, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, and Tostitos BCS National Championship game. So, if you are affiliated with any of the schools participating in these games or if you are just fans, we would love to have you take part in one of these golf challenges. We are in the middle of hosting the Arizona Women’s Golf Association’s Scotch Play event, taking place today and tomorrow. The tee sheet is open at 2:30pm for public play each day after the tournament.

We’ve been busy since opening from overseed, but there are still a few times in the mid morning available each day. The best deal is probably after 10:30, when you can play for $44.00 when you bring a foursome to the course. Hurry, because that special expires on November 30th.

If you are looking for a great gift for the holidays, you need to check out our golf shop. We just received a new shipment of Footjoy golf shoes. Also, we are running a 2 for 1 special on selected golf shirts. You can purchase a gift certificate at Trilogy for a round of golf as well.

Perfect Temperatures in the Desert!

Well, the temperature in Phoenix is starting to come down. This is the perfect time of year to play golf because the course is in great shape and you are still able to get a great tee time if you call one week out.

Until Thanksgiving weekend, our golf car rule on the course is golf car path only. After Turkey Day, we will be able to have the golf cars observe the 90 degree rule. We are currently seeing our pace of play at a quick 4 hours and 30 minutes, even with the golf car path rule in place.

We are looking forward to hosting the Luna/Stalls memorial golf event this Saturday at 7:30am. This Golf Tournament is dedicated to two little boys, David Norberto “Davy” Luna, and Zachary Alan “Zach” Stalls, two little lives lost too soon. Davy and Zach were both five years old at the time of their deaths from a rare form of meningitis. This will be the third year that we have hosted this important event, and we look forward to hosting it for years to come.

Back From Overseed

We're back open! After more than 2 weeks being closed for overseed we opened on October 28th on a beautiful day. Our fairways and greens length are a little long due to overseeding but we have received a lot of positive feedback from our guests about the course. Keep in mind we are going to be golf car path only until Thanksgiving.

While we were shut down for overseeding our Verde Grill went through a major overhaul. We have redone our menu. You can check it out online on our website under the Verde Grill tab. There are some appealing entrées to choose from. If you are really hungry I would highly recommend the Vistancia colossal chili dog. That thing is huge and full of taste!

We are looking forward to hosting the Leadership West golf event on Friday at 1:00pm. We should have the course in good shape and have some challenging pins. We hope to see you out here soon, look for more specials on our website as the weeks go by.

Fall Overseeding

Before we shut down for overseeding, we were extremely busy. When we open back up, we figure to be a little slower with our course conditions being a little slower than they were before we closed. We are going to offer some great specials for the return from overseeding. If you can make it up to the course before 8:00am Monday – Friday you can play for $39.00 including a breakfast burrito. And that burrito is really filling!

The Verde Grill is shut down for another week for some new changes. We have brought on a new chef, and he has some great ideas for lunch specials. The steak sandwich is unbelievable - my new favorite on the menu.

Remember, we open from overseed on Saturday the 28th of October, and hope to see all of you out here soon. Keep it on the Fairways and Greens!

With the weather starting to cool down a little, the course is in fantastic shape. Greens are a little firm, but fast and very true. With no scheduled work needed to be done on the course until we close down for overseed (from 10/12-10/27), we should see some big crowds.

We’re fairly busy this week, especially in the morning, since there is a great deal of $29.00 to play. We have a double shotgun on Saturday; if you are looking to play this weekend, I highly recommend moving to Sunday.
